Turtle Bay

Turtle Bay

We bought memberships to Turtle Bay because just going twice would pay itself off. It has a large museum area, and an outdoor area. Inside they have fish, newts, salamanders, lizards, and snakes to look at. They also have huge bins of legos and blocks the kids can play with.

Outdoors, they have a huge planked walk that leads to a huge play area for kids, and if you keep going past it, they have a butterfly room, and a parrot room. They also rescue a bunch of native animals and have a show to show off their skills.

For a dollar they let us open new packages of butterflies. It was really fun to let them go and watch them fly off. I was pointing to a butterfly to show Grace and it landed there. Grace was quick to shoo it away. I'm sure fun times will be had here.

The parrots were Lorakeets and they had two other birds that looked like old ladies in the room. They have 8 different species of the Lorakeets, and they are loud. You can feed them nectar and they fly all over you.
