Burney Falls

Burney Falls

Burney Falls rests about an hour away from Redding. It is massive! Teddy Roosevelt called it the eighth wonder of the world. It is smack you in the face beautiful. It was a hot day, but as soon as we started down the hill, the mist from the waterfalls cooled us right off. There is great trout fishing here too for when we get our fishing licenses.

We started the day off right, by going to the visitor center and getting a soft serve ice cream cone. What better way to start a hike?

Our first real glimpse of it.

Down by the water. We didn't put our toes in it because it was too scary according to Grace.

Aaron and Grace stayed there and I hiked the loop up and around the falls. Then we had a picnic at one of the tables above the falls.
