La Jolla Cove

La Jolla Cove

The beach, the water, the waves, the sun, food, sleep, repeat. That is pretty much how our whole vacation went. It was great not to have to worry about Gracie near the water, or have to pack a diaper bag, or worry about her sleeping and just completely relax.

Boogie Boarding at the beach

La Jolla Cove
Aaron loves this little Mexican restaurant Casa de Guadalajara. We found it after the Mormon Battalion one day and we always go back. Every single time we go to Old Town. We stopped here to eat before we went snorkeling.

The trees at La Jolla Cove are so interesting!

Wetsuits on and ready to roll

The state fish is a Garibaldi. They are a bright orange color and easy to spot.

The sea caves we swam out to. There was one you could swim into, but the waves were crashing against it pretty hard, so we decided not to.

Lots of kayakers

The sea lions were very friendly. One came up right behind Aaron while we were swimming, and he only knew because I told him to turn around. It really freaked him out. When we popped out of the water two sea lions followed and popped out right next to us. The waves almost smashed this guy into my legs. They were super funny.
