Grace's 2nd 2nd Birthday

The next week we drove home so we could celebrate Grace's birthday with Aaron's family. They made a wonderful spread of hamburgers and all the fixings. We reused the pinata, but because I changed out the strings and didn't reinforce the one I chose...the pinata failed. Aaron just had to turn it upside down. Oops. We had cake and ice cream and she opened presents. She got an outfit from Melissa, and an outfit and homemade quilt from LuAnn. She is so spoiled.

She steals Grandpa's chair every time we visit. I don't know why she loves that chair so much, but if Grandpa isn't sitting in it then Grace is.

Grace's second favorite thing (her first is swimming) is going hiking. The hike we were going to go on was closed, but we had already put her in the hiking backpack and she cried when we took her out, so we just found a trail in East Zion off of the side of the road. 

We saw a dozen Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep on the trail we chose.

Because we were already there we went and saw LuAnn and Melissa at their jobs. It's so fun to see them working and they usually have a few minutes for us. We caught LuAnn on lunch and she showed us her secret spot where she eats with her dear deer friends.

We took the dogs to Grandpa's Pond and Grace passed out in the car after getting her some fries and a drink at Wendy's. Grace was especially good at chucking food/feeding the ducks. She has got a pretty good arm.
