Shooting

Shooting

Justin took us out to the shooting range to show us his new 9mm gun. He was so excited about it and showed me how to load the clip and slide it into the gun. He bought an orange cube to shoot that bounces when you hit it, and a whole bunch of bullets. We had a blast playing with it. It fit into your hand really well and had hardly any kick. Even I could hit the target!
Our poses cracked me up

Or playing model!
Awesome gun Justin! I'm super glad you have one in Las Vegas, and know how to shoot one. We had fun with you!

A Trip home

Flying Home

We planned a trip home in May instead of November for Thanksgiving because we were so worried about Jess and we wanted to see Julie before she headed to New Mexico. It was crazy heading home because we had a huge snowstorm, so me and Sadie went skiing two days before we left and it was HOT at home (though everyone said 90's were cool). It was so much fun seeing everyone even though we got heatstroke!

Flying over Girdwood

And back into LaVerkin. We went hiking with Melissa and Bella down to Confluence. We missed having the usual dog pack, but Bella still managed to have fun.

See how white me and Aaron are and that's after we got sunburned in the Seattle airport!

Conservation Opening

The Conservation Center

We love the Conservation Center! It's for animals that have been orphaned or a sanctuary for the animals who have been hurt in the wild. They get a lot of moose that have been hit by cars through there. They just opened again for the year and had a free day for everyone to visit.

Moose: He was shaking his head but it made his eyes go cartoon crazy.

Reindeer and Caribou

Musk Oxen: They had two new babies born on the same day but not twins. They ran up to us as fast as they could, it was sooooooo cute! They look like little black sheep.

Eagle: He had his left wing torn off by a hunter. He can no longer fly. :(

Black Bear

Brown Bear
Our obvious favorite

A day at the beach

The Beach

I can't believe I'm so far behind! I'm usually pretty good about writing down all of our adventures. We all decided to take a walk along the beach-or mudflats depending on what you want to call them. ha ha. I prefer the beach. It was gorgeous outside and we had a blast.

It's hard to believe it was 9pm, huh? It gets to the point where I have no idea what time it is unless I check a clock. The sun is up from 4am to 1am now, almost 24 hours.

We walked for miles and didn't see a soul! It was wonderful!

My cute photographer

All of the geese and crane migrate through Girdwood towards the Artic

We found an adorable place where the grasses came up high and had a photo shoot. Please excuse Aaron's mustache, he wanted to grow out a beard but because he's going to BYU he couldn't...but mustaches are ok. Arrrgggghhh. No matter how much I argued with him about and secretly daydreamed of shaving it off in his sleep, he kept it. Yuck! He finally shaved a couple days before we went home.

Doggy kisses!

Human kisses!

Family photo-too bad the mustache came. :(

 Wore Aaron right out!
