Beach Day

Beach Day

Moonstone beach allows dogs and you don't even have to have them on leash. It was awesome. The dogs ran and ran and drank sea water and ran some more. We threw sticks for Kodi and Sadie ran after her barking like crazy. I didn't put Grace in a swimsuit, because it was only about 60f and the water was freezing. Like that mattered at all. She kicked off her shoes, and slowly went from toes to waist deep. Once she stepped off a ledge and was chest deep. She panicked, and I panicked, and Aaron yelled, "Get in there and grab her!" I almost went in with my shoes, but she stopped moving and the waves weren't knocking her over so I did kick my tennis shoes off before plunging in the water after her. She loved running up and down, and splashing. There were these tiny little crabs in the water that would climb on your toes and nip them, but they didn't bother Grace at all.

Aaron didn't get into the water at all

After Moonstone, we drove to Big Lagoon Beach because they have agate rock searching there. The waves here were huge and they had signs that said not to get into the water because of the undertow. We could hear the crashing from pretty far away, so we didn't need any convincing. They are probably just there for people like Justin. Grace and the dogs were too afraid of the crashing that they didn't get very close to the water, and me and Aaron stuffed every single pocket we had with agate rocks. It was like treasure hunting! So much fun!
