New Place
Moving day again. This every six months thing is getting old. To add to the frustration, every single time we've moved its been a blizzard outside. We got no less then six inches.
To make matters worse, the only place we could find that would allow dogs and was under $2000 in rent was up a huge hill halfway up the mountain. We are overlooking Girdwood and the highest up on the mountain that you can get. It's a beautiful view, but when we loaded our car with our first load of our useless junk we can't live without, we only made it up ten feet. Maybe I'm being generous. Three feet up. Not a good omen when first moving in. So we borrowed a Suburban to the get the job done and decided it was mandatory to get a truck. Aaron thought this was a very very good idea. He's only been looking at them for the past two years. So far my car can make it up as long as they have plowed and graveled. I've only slid down once when it was all ice. My bad-A winter driving skills have come a long way! The truck now has chains and has made it everytime.
Our apartment is on the top floor and we have to trudge through two flights of stairs and the snow to get to the basement but we are ecstatic to have a washer/dryer in the house! Our laundry mat costs five dollars a load! Our bed is on the ground, we have a total of four dishes, and our closet is made of plastic cubes-but we love it! We have a deck and our whole apartment is windows. It's gorgeous!
Bedroom
Pretty ghetto, but it works!
Kitchen Table and our dishes stacked on wire shelves
Living room
Bathroom with hot water. Score!
Part of the ceiling is windows too. Kodi and Sadie hate it when the snow falls off the house. Scares them pretty bad.
Our awesome truck. Or should I say Aaron's awesome truck. He let me drive it once. We keep it in 4 wheel drive all the time and the only time its let us down was after filling the tank. 8.4 miles to the gallon. Ouch!
I love the new place. Those windows are awesome!
