Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

I hope everyone had a magical Christmas! I know we did. We started out the day before Christmas Eve by making a crab leg dinner with mash potatoes and shrimp and some other fantastic goodies. Dessert was cherry cheesecake made with a pretzel crust. Super yummy. We read the Christmas story and watched National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. A tradition of Aaron's family. I thought it was pretty stupid, but it had its funny moments.

Aaron worked Christmas Eve so he came home at midnight to find that Santa had already been there. Boy, he hit our house quick! Probably because we are so close to the North Pole. He went all out this year and had arranged our stockings out on the couch with all of our presents. (Cause lets face it-there weren't that many). Aaron was so excited he couldn't sleep. He was up at 3:30, 5:00, 6:00, 6:30 and we finally stayed awake at 7:00. Silly goose. We had plans to facetime with Aaron's family so we had our own Christmas first and then opened their presents with them later.

Kodi loved Christmas. Santa went crazy with buying them toys, and she tore open all of hers and Sadie's and stashed them in the bedroom in a pile. She was pretty cute!

Aaron got some fun goodies but his big present was the newest Ipad Air. He was in love. My big present was a comfy North Face coat and I'm so excited about it!

We facetimed with Aaron's family and they all cried...while I laughed...when Melvin and LuAnn opened their presents and saw plane tickets to Alaska. They were shocked! Especially since Aaron had told them it was going to be tight on money this year and said we were just doing cards. ha ha. It was sweet. Riley said our present was his favorite (a remote controlled boat) and Melissa and Randy loved their gifts as well. We got to facetime with Mom and Dad for a few minutes as well. They were so sweet! We headed off to work a few hours later but it was a great day!
